About

Fusion Fitness is not just a clever sounding name. It actually means something too. What does being “fit” mean? It means different things to different people but in all my years of training clients (and myself) I have found there are some musts that everyone today needs. What are they? How do you use them? Who do you go to? Do you HAVE TO join a gym?

Ask your self this question. Why would you want to be fit and healthy anyway? Is it to look better naked, to get your youthful energy back or age more gracefully? Maybe it is to improve your tennis, running or golf. Maybe you just want to feel a lot better. All of this (and more) are the result of knowing what to and how to do it. To be more specific….being fit means all of the above but it also means you have to be well rounded or you ain’t fit. Just because someone is a Marathon runner it doesn’t make them fit. It might make them Marathon fit, but it doesn’t make them life fit at all. I should know. I used to run Marathons and taught Yoga classes through the New York Road Runners Club (the organization that puts of the New York City Marathon.) We were very inflexible and weak (although Yoga helped a lot with some of these deficiencies), and if you aren’t reasonably flexible and mobile with the strength to use it then you are not fit. Not even close.

The first real “must” of being fit is being LIFE fit. All the other benefits just happen when you are LIFE fit. That means no toting around pounds and pounds of unhealthy fat. It means you can see your abs. It means you are toned or muscular looking. It means you have plenty of stamina and your insides (organs, digestive system etc) aren’t a soupy, tired mess.

FFTV will feature the latest (and greatest) fitness and health news to use in your life. We hope to cut through all of the fabrications and even downright lies that are constantly vomited out by the sports, the fitness and the nutrition industries. Then there are the many featured exercises, a fitness at “almost 50” segment (featuring yours truly), health/fitness product reviews and visits with phenomenal trainers, gyms and studios. Really if you add it up it is Fitness for a different age. Today’s science with much of yesterday’s knowledge and wisdom.

Where does Fusion fit in?

We live in an age where we are more disconnected than ever. There are so many distractions and way too much information. We need to pay attention. Your body and mind are much more powerful when they are operating together instead of separately. So the first part of the Fusion is body and mind. I can’t tell you how many people I have dealt with who just go through the motions when they exercise. That won’t get you any where close to the beautiful results that a concentrated effort between your body AND mind give you.

Then there is the Fusion of fitness and health. For example, it is very easy to be fit but at all healthy. Many people think that exercise cancels out all the junk they eat. Hate to tell you but that is not even close to the truth. Exercise and what you stuff in your mouth (on a daily basis) are inseparable when it comes health. Not to mention changing the way you look and perform.

When all is said and done the most exciting “Fusion” of FFTV are the incredibly knowledgeable and experienced trainers, teachers, gyms and studios we will visit. Not just your usual fluff, but real world people who get great results with their clients. There are so many great teachers with fantastic stuff to teach us. American, European, Asian, Indian, Arabic…..great wisdom and experience. We can’t go to all these countries and hunt these teachers down but we CAN find disciples/students etc who practice what they preach.

Add to this the Fusion of strength, cardiovascular conditioning, stamina, mobility, flexibility, strong / efficient breathing muscles, good digestion, a strong immune system and balance. Then you really have yourself a “fusion” of the musts that were mentioned earlier.

FFTV is a show for anyone that wants to become “life fit” or build on the fitness and health they already have. Come join the community. Tell us about your experiences. What your roadblocks and success are. What area you think you need to develop. Tell us your goals? To fit into a smaller dress size? To fill out your shirts? To reduce stress? To touch your toes again? To FEEL BETTER? Get ready and enjoy the show.
