Real Gyms
In the post “Do You Really Need To Join A Gym” I told of my feelings towards the “big chain store gyms.” There are many much smaller, and MUCH more focused gyms and studios where the real work gets done. Some don’t have any of the fluff that a big “we try to please everybody” gym might have, but these places put people through the paces needed to get the job done. Human bodies have changed little, if at all, in thousands of years. To get in shape (and slimming down is a it can’t help but happen side benefit) takes work. It takes time, and it takes effort. Today’s fancy exercise gizmos are ok, but let’s face it. We never really needed them in the first place. The ancient Greeks certainly didn’t and the Spartans were maybe the most physically developed humans that have ever lived. Including the women.
Do you believe that you can get a piece of that today? Read here to follow and see.
