What I Think About Protein Powders

Today’s bodybuilder. Now…take away the drugs. Then take away the pills, potions and powders, which result in a big and messy intestinal soup. Now……….what are we left with? Most of the time it is someone who doesn’t work hard enough and is an unsymmetrical, bloated human being.

If he/she is typical, he/she has insides that are so wracked up from potions, pills, shakes and powders that calling them weak intestinal fortituded, constipated wrecks would be a blessing. Yes, many (and yes there are some exceptions) of today’s “bodybuilders” first asks,

“What will make me bigger”

and rely less than ever on the extremely hard work it takes to make their muscles bigger AND stronger. I’ll repeat that “BIGGER AND STRONGER.” What are one of the major chemical soups they DO rely on? Protein shakes. In fact many average people, weekend warriors, amatuer athletes or people that want to “lose weight” use them too. They are endlessly compared for the types of protein they contain. The flavors. The “absorbablity” and yes, the results. See the link for a few.

Those are only SOME of the piles and piles of powders available. People love the convenience and portability of protein powders too. The one thing I hardly everĀ  hear is that IT IS’NT REAL FOOD! In fact protein powders often provoke either food sensitivity reactions (gas, bloating, headaches, cramps, constipation and diarrhea) OR food allergies that weren’t there before people started using them.

Protein powders pass immediately through the GI tract without any normal effort on the part of the GI tract. Continued use makes for a GI tract that has about enough strength to push soup through. God forbid though it should be asked to push a carrot through. Or an apple. Oh that’s right! You could just wash it through with one of those “after workout” sugar drinks. Yech.

You want protein that serves the purpose that real food was put on this Earth to do? Why not eatĀ  real protein then? If you want to eat animal protein:

Beef

Chicken

Turkey

Fish

Second best:

Cottage cheese

Cheese

Milk

If you want to eat “non animal” :

Look up how to combine………Legumes, grains, nuts, seeds and soy.

Then….get busy with exercise. Resistance exercise! Do some chin ups as seen in episode 8, or push ups from episode 3 or for REAL pumping up, include slow push ups from this weeks upcoming episode 10.

Give your body the protein it craves. Please be spare with those ultra refined, ultra processed and chemicalized protein powders. They have no part in the Fusion. The Fusion Fitness of nature and you. When the two are combined it is a mighty package. Really powerful and very healthy.

Best,

Robert

Food for Thought:

It isn't sufficient just to want; you've got to ask yourself what you are going to do to get the things you want.
